The Little Things

Tonight as Bereket enjoys her last little bit of Aladdin before teeth brushing and story time, I sit for a moment to reflect on The Little Things. The things that make the routine of the day so extraordinary.  Tonight in the shower, Bereket "shaved" her little legs so carefully, just like Mommy. I couldn't stop laughing!  I loved how she picked tiny blades of grass this afternoon while Mommy pulled dandelions and carefully gave me each one to throw away. I love how she always says "Cheese!" instead of please with much so enthusiasm when she wants a treat. And my favorite is how Bereket just wants to hug, hug, hug every night after getting out of the shower. Wait, I forgot wearing Santa pajamas in April...that's a great Little Thing, too!

May I never forget The Little Things...and may I never get too caught up in the day to recognize just how special they are.
